Ms Danni Brogden BSc (Hons) MBChB (Hons) PhD FRCS

Danni founded mASCARA in 2018 to dramatically improve data capture, collection and research to improve outcomes for Anal Squamous Cell Carcinoma (ASCC). She completed her PhD in the demographics and risk factors of ASCC at Imperial College in 2021.

Danni is Lead Investigator for mASCARA. She has authored many papers on the subject, sits on the European Task Force for the International Anal Neoplasia Society

Danni is a member of the European committee of the International Anal Neoplasia Society – the only association dedicated to the treatment of HSIL worldwide.

Danni is a member of the committee drawing up new clinical guidelines for the management of HSIL after the findings of the ANCHOR study.

Danni created the NHS England adopted dashboard for ASCC outcomes for ASCC commissioned clinical centres which will be adopted in due course. The data can be streamed directly from mASCARA.


Ms Micol Lupi BSc(Hons) MBBS MRCS

Micol is a Colorectal registrar in NW Thames with an interest in improving the outcomes in women with ASCC. She is currently undertaking a PhD at Imperial College London investigating this topic.

Micol also acts as study coordinator for recruitment of mASCARA.
